We've found that what unites Ukrainians is the resilience and resourcefulness to survive endless hardships: a people who have got through the oppressions of Russian tsars; Stalin'southward enforced dearth; the second world war (where most of the fighting was in Ukraine); Nazi occupation; Chernobyl; the revolution of nobility … and now this.
My friends are taking up arms, and when I bulletin them are miles more at-home, resolute and focused than I am, typing abroad in a Nato country and praying for the best.
